What is windshield repair and how does it work? A windshield is comprised of three layers, the outer layer of glass, middle safety laminate, and a inner layer of glass. When the outer layer encounters damage due to a rock, flying debris, etc. A impact fracture is created between the inner side of the glass and the middle safety laminate.
While there are a few other types of due to impact, filling the impact fracture is the solution. The impact is bored and filled with a clear resin. The resin is finally cured with UV light . The repair requires no special attention when complete.
